Abductee's family tried to forward the list of abductees to the Represetative of North Korea at UN in New York

납북자 가족, 북 대표부에 명단전달 시도

납북자 가족 대표들이 유엔 주재 북한대표부를 방문해 납북자 명단을 전달하려 했으나 북한측의 거부로 뜻을 이루지 못했습니다.

납북자 가족모임 최성용 대표 등 방미 대표단은 뉴욕의 유엔 주재 북한대표부를 찾아 한국전쟁 당시 납북된 8만여 명의 인적사항이 담긴 CD롬과 전후 피랍자 486명의 명단을 제출하고, 이들의 생사규명과 송환을 촉구하려고 했지만, 북한측이 이를 거부해 뜻을 이루지 못했습니다.

방미 대표단은 이에 따라 북한 대표부가 입주한 건물 앞에서 "납북자를 석방하라"는 등의 구호를 외친 뒤 자진 해산했습니다.
